Ateneum Theatre
Ateneum Theatre was opened in 1928 by famous Polish actor of those times, Stefan Jaracz. He was also the director of the theatre and today Ateneum Theatre has also name of Theatre of Stefan Jaracz. Building of the theatre was built in 1927 but until October 1928 it served as a seat of the League of Professional Cyclists.

During 1930s theatre was one of the leading ones in Warsaw and many talented actors started their careers here. Motto of the theatre for a long time has been: “There is no theatre without an actor. Everything will collapse if the level of acting skills goes down.” Today’s director of the theatre is Mrs Slawomira Lozinska.
