Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary
Legend says that the Mother of God appeared to a rich but childless miller, who asked her for a son. The Holy Mother asked him to build a church where he saw a snowcapped hill and to baptize the son he was to have in the newly built place of worship.

Church was completed in 1411 and miller became a father. This is the oldest church in the New Town. Brick tower of the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary rises over the roofs of the houses on the bank of the River Vistula. The vaulting above the chancel was filled by hand without use of prefabricated moulds. Next to the church, in the cemetery, stands the statue of Walerian Lukasinski – founder of the National Patriotic Society. Next to the church there is also a terrace with beautiful view of the Vistula River.
