Wspolczesny Theatre
Wspolczesny (Modern) Theatre was established in 1949. It is known for performing drama and comedy shows for more than fifty years. The first show of “Stevenson’s Star” by Donald Ogden Stewart took place here in the 1949 and received very good reviews.

Many of the shows performed in Wspolczesny Theatre have realistic style. Since 1981 Maciej Englert is director of the theatre who tries to continue tradition of his predecessors. It is one of few theatres in Poland which does not have organization of the auditorium, just regular cashier. Today theatre performs great classic, social dramas and funny farces.
