Amber Room specializes in Polish cuisine with a modern twist, using the current trends in global cuisine, including elements of the molecular cuisine. The kitchen is led by extremely talented Executive Chef Jacek Grochowina.
The restaurant proved its highest standards and quality of cuisine during the “Wine and Food Noble Night” – the competition, that is organized annually in Warsaw. During this event 12 of the best restaurants in Poland compete with each other in three categories: best appetizer, main course, dessert. For the first time in 2010 Amber Room took part in this contest and surpassed all expectations by winning in all three categories.

Archeological Museum in Warsaw

The Archeological Museum is housed in the historical Arsenal which was a key element of Warsaw’s fortifications. It was built in 1638 – 1647 in the Baroque style by King Wladyslaw IV Vasa. Many exhibits date from the Neolithic period and come from Poland, wider Europe, Asia, America and Africa.

Ateneum Theatre was opened in 1928 by famous Polish actor of those times, Stefan Jaracz. He was also the director of the theatre and today Ateneum Theatre has also name of Theatre of Stefan Jaracz. Building of the theatre was built in 1927 but until October 1928 it served as a seat of the League of Professional Cyclists.

Belvedere Palace is located at the end of the Ujazdowskie Avenues, right next to Lazienki Park. History of this building goes back to the 17th century. In the time of Stanislaw August it was a porcelain and faience factory. Its present form in Baroque style dates from 1818 when it was remodeled by Jakub Kubicki for the Russian governor – general Prince Constantine and his wife.

Palace was built in 1740 to a design by Jan Zygmunt Deybel and completed by Giacopo Fontana. It was built for Jan Klemens Branicki who was powerful magnate, adviser to August III and a connoisseur of fine art.

Brochow exists on a tourist map thanks to the defensive church which resembles a castle. It was built in Mazovian Gothic style in 1551 – 1561. Its Renaissance interior is covered by a barrel vault of the Pultusk type, decorated with a geometric pattern. In 1806 Fryderyk Chopin’s parents had a wedding here and the composer’s birth certificate is still kept in this church.

The first part of Castle Square was in existence in 1644 but completed at the beginning of 19th century. After the World War 2, the burger’s townhouses were restored which today surround the Castle Square. In the middle of the square stands the oldest secular statue in Warsaw – Zygmunt’s Column.
