The Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre is Europe's largest outdoor event dedicated to science. It has been held every year since 1997 in Warsaw, each time attracting crowds of visitors – more than 100,000 in the course of a single day. The Science Picnic was commended by the European Commission in 2005 as one of 10 model European projects in the "Science and Society" field.

The 'Warsaw Autumn' (Warszawska Jesien) is a festival with a long history, an enormous tradition, and can be called a witness to history. It is the only festival in Poland on an international scale and with an international status, dedicated to contemporary music. For many years, it was the only event of this kind in Central and Eastern Europe. It is still, however, a living organism: it develops and thrives to the extent that the Polish cultural budget and the general state of music allow it to.

It is an international festival, first organized in Warsaw in 1992 as a competition against Jazz Jamboree. While Jazz Jamboree is the event where good old jazz is performed, the Summer Jazz Days provide a stage for all of the newest trends in jazz.

Jazz Jamboree is today probably most prestigious festival of an international standard in Warsaw. An idea was begun by a few fans of jazz and first festival was organized on 18th – 21st September of 1958 at Hybrydy Club. First three editions were organized in Stodola students’ club. Author of name “Jazz Jamboree” was Leopold Tyrmand – writer and ideologist.
