Mazuria region is known as the land of a thousand lakes and rivers. Its natural environment, unspoiled by industry, attracts visitors not only in summer.
Take a full day tour towards north from Warsaw and visit this unique region with us.
On our way we will stop in Nidzica. Town founded by Teutonic Knights in 1381 who built a castle here in 1370. You will see its rebuilt version and some medieval town’s fortifications which survived till today.
Not far from Nidzica there is a very special place – Grunwald – site of probably most famous battle in Polish history – victorious battle over Teutonic Knights Army. We will stop by the monument to this battle.
Afterwards we will go to Olsztyn – the capital and largest city of this region. You will see the Gothic Castle from 14th century, the High Gate – part of the defense of Old Town and Market Square with Gothic Cathedral of St James. Then we will take you to Mikolajki – summer capital of Mazurian Lake District. Small town located on the shore of Lake Sniardwy – biggest lake in Poland.
