Between November 16 (Saturday) - November 24 (Sunday), the Literary and Musical Society 'Ballada' organizes The OPPA International Bard Festival for the 31st time.

From the beginning, the festival has become one of the most important festivals of art song in the country and the biggest festival for songwriters.
It is a non-commercial festival, which is a response to mass entertainment. The festival is the only one in Poland of this type and such high reputation. It focuses the attention of the audience thirsting for another form of entertainment than that promoted by the commercial media. The main value of the songs is the artist’s personal, genuine and self-conscious message, expressed by his own words and own music.
This year's festival will last traditionally nine days. On November 17 the first concert of competition will be held, the so-called Semi-final, in which dozens of participants from Poland and abroad will present their best songs. Those of them who prove to be the most interesting will go to the Grand Final, which will take place the next day. Both of these concerts will be organized in Srodmiescie Cultural Center.
Apart from the competition, the program includes non-competition concerts, stars’ recitals and accompanying events.
The events are held in Srodmiescie, Staromiejski, Praga and Ochota Cultural Centers as well as in the Museum of Independence and others.
